My How Time Flies!

It's been six weeks since Mom has posted. I've changed a lot since then. Here are some pics...

Charles is REALLY walking now!

I got bored with crawling yesterday and decided to start walking for real! I spent about 45 minutes honing my skills by doing laps around the first floor of the house. By the time that Mom came home at 6pm, I was pretty good! I do a bit of a funny flapping thing with my hands, but it helps me keep my balance!

My First Trip to Mount Vernon

Today we went to Mount Vernon. They have added so many things there that we didn't even have time to see everything. We were there for almost five hours, too! We went all around the grounds, toured the mansion, and spent a lot of time in the museum. We watched a cool film about the Revolutionary War. The seats would vibrate when the cannons would fire and at one point it snowed in the theatre!

Looking for Gargoyles

We went to the National Cathedral yesterday and searched for gargoyles. We also ate lunch at Cactus Cantina. I love their guacamole! I ate almost all of Mom's. I also ate shredded cheese, some chicken, and rice. Mexican food is my favorite kind, I think.

What do you think about my new red crocs? I'm not so sure about them. They are the smallest size made, but they are still a little big on me.

A BIG Day!!

This morning started off great. Mom let me eat breakfast in front of the TV. I watched "Play With Me Sesame" while I ate my morning yogurt and chicken apple sausage. My new thing is to wave my arms to the music. I just can't stop myself; music is in my soul!



Guess what I did later in the day??? I took some of my first steps!! I have taken a couple in the past, but Mom was so lucky to capture what really was my first real walking!! I'll be pro within a few weeks! The expression on Mom's face is hilarious in the first video, because she was thinking that I'd just walk a couple of steps to her. But, when I decided to walk all the way to the video camera, she was totally speechless!!





Mom and I went up to the Whole Foods in the early evening, and when we got home, I played in the kitchen while she put away the groceries. I love standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open. Mom is so cool because she lets me do it. She says that the electricity bill isn't an issue because Dad's income is tax-free!

A Typical Weekday

Today we played in the water outside. Don't we look cool wearing our swimsuits? I spent a lot of time using my favorite toy - Mom's tablespoon measure - to throw tablespoons of water at Andrew and Jenni. It was lots of fun.

After we came back inside, we played in our special cabinet. Andrew likes to smell the spices, so Mom would open them up and let him take a sniff. I, however, come at everything with my mouth open and tongue out, so Mom wouldn't let me go near the open containers of spices.

Once we got our clothes back on, we had a snack. Isn't Andrew's hair crazy? You should hear Jenni having to tell the other nannies at the park that he really isn't a girl.

For dinner, Mom fixed me a veggie corndog, some yogurt, and a few Cheetos.

I licked the stick clean, and then got pissed when Mom took it away from me.

Another Great Day in the Mountains

Today we went to Vail. It was a hot day outside, and the wading pool was much too tempting for me to pass up. First, Aunt Jen let me dip my feet in the wading pool...

Then I lost my shorts and investigated the fountains...

Then I stood right under the fountain...
Then I crawed in the pool...
And when I was totally soaked, Jen gave me back to Mom to dry off! Once we were all dry, we went to the playground at Vail. Jen bought the boys some Sour Straws, and at first, I wasn't interested. Then I noticed that Jack and Sam were enjoying them, so I thought I'd give one a try. I was hooked! I sucked on it for the next 30 minutes!





After a bit, the sky started to cloud up, so we decided to go home. Jen and Mom needed some Starbuck's on the way out, so Mom watched me, Sam, and Jack while Jen stood in line. Sam found another water play area and he couldn't resist jumping in and getting his clothes all wet. Then he told Allie that he was cold. We didn't have any towels, so Mom stripped off his wet shirt and put my sweatshirt on him! Other than the arms being too short, it almost fit him!

Once we got in the car, I was so exhausted that I fell right to sleep!

A Busy Day

Today was a very busy day! First, we went to the park. Sam is a pretty good swing pusher.

Next, we went for ice cream. Pop Pop let gave me the rest of his cone. I was in heaven.

Eating the cone occupied me for the entire ride home.

Later, we painted.

After the painting was done, I played with the paintbrushes for a long time.

Sam made a skirt out of paper towels and made us all laugh.

In the evening, we ate dinner. I stayed up to eat with everyone, and I really liked the chicken! After dinner, Mom gave me a bath and put me to bed. I was very tired! I can't wait for the fun that's in store for tomorrow!
