Happy (Early) Birthday to Me!

Today I had a birthday party with my friends Andrew and Sydney!



The cakes were awesome! Courtney, Allison's friend from work, made them from scratch!


Even with the amazing cake, I wasn't so sure about it...



All my favorite people were there (with some obvious exceptions)...





I didn't eat a lot of my cake, but Mom didn't mind. All the more for her to eat tomorrow...

A Nestle Mess

Here's what happens when Mom puts the Nestle Quik in the "safe" cabinet and then turns her back on me. Turns out that the lid is not babyproof!

Dinner with Fancy People

So this is where all of D.C.'s rich people hang out - at the Chevy Chase Country Club. I fit right in with my preppy outfit, but lots of the rich old people didn't seem too psyched that little people were there tonight. Too bad for them!!
Carson and I interacted a little bit tonight, but hopefully not too much, because soon after we sat down to dinner, Carson puked all over Grandma Cappie and had to go home early!

A beautiful setting for sitting around with a drink. But not me! I walked around and around and around, with Mom's help of course. I never let her rest!
I am way too cool.

Swimming at South Run Pool

Check me out in my cool swim clothes! I had a great first visit to the South Run swimming pool with Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma. We stayed in the kiddie pool for most of the time and I walked around and around and around! I'm not sure why I keep making a funny fish face in pictures lately...

I'm Getting so Smart

I've gotten pretty good at putting things into containers. Over the weekend, I put my new trucks into the cookie box. I also like to put things into a shoebox, then stir them up with my spatula (Uncle Rick taught me that trick). Here I am mastering the practice of putting the little colored rattle balls into the cylinder thingy that makes noise.

Look At Me! I'm Standing!

During the time that I felt OK today, I tried a lot of standing by myself. Here I am standing alone for a few seconds, and then nosediving. Don't worry, I wasn't really hurt! But, it is annoying when Mom videotapes me at the expense of smashing my nose.

Playing in the Water

Yesterday, Jenni took me and Andrew out back to play in the water. Andrew had fun playing with the water table. I preferred trying to suck water out of the garden hose.

Karen's Wedding in Newport, RI

Hi Daddy,
We had a great weekend in Newport, Rhode Island. I had fun playing with Grandma Wendy and Di Di (Mommy's Aunt Diana) while Mom went to Karen's wedding. Here are some pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

Gift from Rick and Gwen

Rick and Gwen came home from China last week, and they brought me a T-shirt! Really, I think the gift was more of a joke for my daddy!

My Second Trip to Disneyworld

Not every 10 1/2 month old can say that he just made his second trip to Disneyworld (third if you count the trip when I was in Mommy's tummy), so I'm pretty lucky!

I had a great time with Sam, Auntie Jen, and Mom. One morning we had breakfast in Cinderella's castle and I got a sword! I loved the sword, but Mommy let Sam and Auntie Jen take it home with them. Mommy said that she isn't ready to deal with swords yet.

While at Disney, I learned that I like several new foods - Goldfish crackers, rice krispie treats, blue rasberry slushie, French fries, and Chocolate chip cookies!!!

Sam and I had a great time together. He's my favorite almost 4 yr old cousin!

Sam taught me how to start getting into more trouble. Here he is climbing into a fountain at Epcot.

It was a great trip! I can't wait to go back in December. By then, I'll be walking!!!
